The Wandering Peacemaker

Foreign policy, spiritual practice, and adventure travel come together as diplomat Roger Plunk journeys as an international negotiator to politically troubled spots in Asia--Burma, China, India, and Afghanistan. The result is a book that combines Plunk's personal sense of the sacred with his desire to create democratic institutions in countries beset with open civil strife. Despite the setbacks he faces from the multiple conflicting interests that make international diplomacy a difficult field, Plunk maintains a positive attitude based on his own understanding of the spiritual nature of all of life, even in the most difficult of situations.
